2021 is BMW Motorrad’s best sales year yet

KUALA LUMPUR: The past few years (2020 & 2021) was extremely challenging for everyone, including the automotive sector, all thanks to the pandemic. However, even during these tough times some company’s experienced the best sales there ever was.

One such brand is BMW Motorrad that sold the maximum number of motorcycles in its history in 2021. Apart from its excellent products, we think the popularity of two-wheels during COVID times (best option over congested four-wheels) helped the brand achieve its all-time high sales.

Let’s now discuss the figures, in 2021 BMW Motorrad sold a total of 194,261 motorcycles globally, overcoming its 2019 sales record of 175,162 units.

Now, that would be the BMW R 1250 GS that sold a total of 60,000 units. Other BMW motorcycles that performed well and contributed to the 2021 figures highly were - BMW R 1250 RT, S 1000 R, and R 1250 RT.

What are BMW’s hopes for 2022?

With the soon introduction of its new e-motorcycle, the CE-04, BMW Motorrad hopes to touch an even higher sales mark in 2022.

Along with the CE-04, BMW Motorrad has high expectations from the Gelande Strasse range. All this along with all the new models the company plans to launch in this year will add to the sales figure and help reach further heights.
