2019 Yamaha 135LC SE receives minor update

KUALA LUMPUR: The updated Yamaha 135LC SE motorcycle has arrived in the market. It prominently differs from the previous version in terms of graphics and outlook. The motorcycle range now gets a new colour scheme called Knight Blue.

There are several graphic changes in the newly updated Yamaha 135LC SE. Unlike the previous variant, this motorcycle has racing stripes that provide the bike with a more sleeker look. Moreover, the name of the bike is printed on the wheel edges. If compared to the previous model, the common features are side panel air scoops, engine protection cover and cowl horn cover. The design of the instrument panel is refreshed in the updated one.

The Yamaha 135LC SE has a dry weight of 105 kg and a seat height of 775mm. Talking about the engine specs, the bike is powered by a 134 cc single-cylinder SOHC liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of pumping out a maximum power of 12 hp along and a peak torque of 11.79 Nm. The bike is equipped with the automatic four-speed gearbox along with the chain drive system.

A single disk-break is present in the front wheel that ensures the braking of the motorcycle. The braking system is attached with a single-piston calliper. Also, a drum brake is present in the rear wheel of the bike. The brake disc lock equipped in the bike is of RM 100.

In terms of shock resistance and biker’s comfort, the Yamaha 135LC SE outstands as the traditional forks of telescopic design are present at the front of the bike. At the rear end of the motorcycle, a mono-shock system is present. A biker can also enjoy the convenience of preload adjustment.

Yamaha 135LC SE price starts from RM7,118 excluding the road tax. The current registration price of 135LC is RM250. Overall, the updated variant is a bit costlier than its previous counterpart that is currently priced at RM6,868.
