2019 Honda Wave 125i gets an LED headlight and is cheaper

KUALA LUMPUR: The Wave 125i is not only one of the best underbone bikes from Honda but is also among the best that we have in the country. Considering the popularity of the underbone bikes in Malaysia, Honda has always shown great interest in the segment. The potential buyers of the underbone bikes would be happy to know that the 2019 Honda Wave 125i would not only be cheaper to own but also has an LED headlight.

Honda announced the price of the next year model of the Wave 125i. The single disc model will cost you RM 5,999 whereas the dual disc model will set you back by RM 6,299. These prices are lower if we compare them to the previous year’s prices when the GST was applicable; the single disc model had a price tag of RM 6,263 and the dual disc version was priced at RM 6,549.

The 2019 Honda Wave 125i will also feature an LED headlight. It is good to know that Honda is incorporating the latest available elements even in its underbone products. The LED headlight is expected to enhance the illumination of what’s ahead and will also reduce the load on the battery as it consumes lesser power compared to the conventional halogen setup.

Some of the interesting features of the Wave 125i that make it a popular underbone bike in the local market include 18 litres of under-seat storage, large and comfortable seat, 5.4-litre fuel tank, stylish looks, disc brake, etc. Powering the bike is a 124.9 cc single cylinder engine that produces 9 hp at 7,500 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.

The new Honda Wave 125i will be available for purchase before the end of this month at authorised Boon Siew Honda dealers. Interested buyers have the option to their favourite color from the three available options - Pearl Magellanic Black with Candy Scintillate Red, Pearl Magellanic Black with Pearl Nightfall Blue, and Force Silver Metallic.
