10 unit limited BMW R nineT 100 years in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Motorrad is celebrating its 100-year anniversary and to commemorate the occasion BMW Motorrad Malaysia has introduced a limited edition model. Called the BMW R nineT 100 Years, it is the perfect tribute to the brand’s passion-driven heritage.

Priced at RM 129,500, the new BMW R nineT is limited to just 1,923 units worldwide with just 10 units coming to Malaysia. They will be available to local passionate rides and would be a perfect representation of the company's SoulFuel form.

Hans de Visser, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, said, “The BMW R nineT encapsulates the great roadster tradition of BMW Motorrad in a particularly refined and sophisticated manner, culminating 100 years of motorcycle construction and a persevering passion for the Boxer engine.”

BMW R nineT 100 Years - Key highlights

• The BMW R nineT Year features high-quality materials and stylish design elements
• The motorcycle’s design has been reduced compared to the classic roadster to feature a compact tank and upright seating position

• The limited edition can be found with several special features along with an elaborate surface concept
• The motorcycle is painted in a Black Storm metallic hue which pays tribute to the 1969 BMW R 75/5
• The motorcycle combines paint finishes and chrome surfaces with a Classic Chrome surface concept - a 100-year-old tradition
• The paint and chrome interplay is represented by a combo of black with chrome and white double-lining on the tank

• The motorcycle gets a 100 Years badge and tank grips
• Part of the standard kit is - LED headlights with DRLs, rational-speed sensor instruments, dual speed indicators, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), drivetrain and final drive in a black finish, Riding Modes Rain & Road
• The braking setup includes twin-disc brakes with four-piston calipers for the front and a single-disc brake with double-piston floating calipers for the rear
  
• Its suspension includes fully adjustable upside-down telescopic front forks and fully adjustable spring preload by handwheel
• Powering the motorcycle is a 1,170 cc air-cooled flat twin four-stroke Boxer engine making a maximum power of 109 hp along with a peak torque of 116 Nm
• Greater safety is assured by the latest generation BMW Motorrad ABS Pro
