Volvo plug-in hybrid cars receive updates in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Cars Malaysia has introduced a slew of updates for its plug-in hybrid vehicles, including the XC90, XC60, S90, S60, and V60. The new updates are applicable to the 2024 model year versions of these PHEVs, starting from September.

Let’s know the upgrades in detail - 

• The upgraded Volvo PHEV models feature a more powerful onboard charger, which supports up to 6.4 kW of two- or three-phase charging. The single-phase charging remains unchanged at 3.6 kW

• The updated Volvo plug-in hybrid lineup also benefits from a new exterior colour shade i.e. Vapour Grey. The existing palette comprises - Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Crystal White, and Platinum Grey
• Also part of the upgrade is a new set of wheels. The 2024 V60 Recharge and S60 Recharge get a new six-spoke wheel design whereas the 2024 Volvo S90 Recharge benefits from new eight-spoke wheels

• The Panoramic sunroof now comes as a standard fitment across all 2024 Volvo models
• The automaker also updated the ‘Google built-in’ infotainment system of the PHEV lineup; it now comes with a new YouTube app along with a new scheduled charging feature

• Volvo Car Malaysia offers a complimentary five-year Digital Services package for all 2024 Volvo plug-in hybrid vehicles. This package includes access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Play Store, and remote functions through the Volvo Cars app
