Volvo introduces new Android infotainment system in S90, V90, & V90 Cross Country

KUALA LUMPUR: As per a recent announcement by the Swedish automaker, Volvo more cars in its lineup will benefit from Android Automotive OS tuned infotainment system. Included in the list are cars like the 2022 S90, the V90, and also the V90 Cross Country. In addition, the Volvo model profile will also include a few technical changes.

Volvo first introduced the Android Automotive OS infotainment system in the XC 40 Recharge, it replaced the old Sensus system. It gave users access to several Google applications and services. And it is fully integrated with Volvo On Call digital connected services. The next model to get this advanced and interactive infotainment system was the updated XC60.

Advantages of Android Automotive OS powered infotainment system -

• The said system comes with built-in Google services and aims to provide the same smartphone-like interactive experience to the user
• It comes with in-car apps like Google Play, Google Maps, etc
• For hands-free interaction is a digital assistant
• The user can also operate several vehicle functions via the system
• The system is also tuned with Volvo On Call service

Wait there's more! Volvo's Digital Service package also comprises a wireless phone charger and data that will come in handy to operate the system.

Furthermore, the three Volvo models - the S90, V90, and V90 Cross-Country will come along with the brand's latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It is a suite of active safety features including several radars, ultrasonic sensors, and cameras.

Volvo has also introduced new exterior hues and upholstery options. A leather-free interior option is also part of the kit.
