KUALA LUMPUR: Hey, young auto-enthusiasts out there! Here is your chance to turn your passion into a career. The Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Training Academy programme offers young Malaysians an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship programme. This three-year course is an excellent opportunity to gain professional qualifications and experience and learn practical workplace skills.

Here are the key highlights of the programme :

Application deadline: Applications are open from now till July 31, 2022. 

Eligibility: A minimum of 3 credits in SPM or equivalent with a pass in English. 

Curriculum: The three-year course comprises a wide range of globally approved curriculum and training guidelines by Mercedes-Benz Global Training. In line with the company’s strategy to lead the electric vehicles segment, the course now also includes a new specialisation for Electric Vehicle Specialists, known as Expert in High Voltage (EHV). 

Certification: After completing this 3-year intensive course, the applicants will receive certification in NDTS Level 3, C&G VRQ Level 3, Qualified Maintenance Technician, Qualified System Technician / Qualified Service Advisor Expert in High Voltage, as per the selected specialisation. It is important to note that the Department of Skills Development recognises the course under the Ministry of Human Resources. 

Placement: The apprenticeship guarantees employment upon completion with a guaranteed minimum salary in the first year with an opportunity to grab increments after that.

Training location: The entire training will be held at the Mercedes-Benz National Training Academy located in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong.

Since 2017, the said programme has been receiving 500 applications annually on an average, while over 900 students have graduated from Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s Training Academy since 1984. The graduated professionals have been working with the brand’s authorised dealer network on various positions across different specialisations.
