Toyota Yaris GT7 Edition revealed for PlayStation fanatics

KUALA LUMPUR: Are you a Gran Turismo fan? If yes, here we have something interesting for you. The Japanese automaker Toyota along with its series partner Gran Turismo introduced a special GT version of the Yaris hatchback in the Old Continent that goes with the name Toyota Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition. 

The Yaris bearing the Gran Turismo 7 will be offered in a limited quantity of 100 units in Spain only. It underpins the standard five-door Yaris hatchback and is powered by a 1.5-litre hybrid engine combining an Atkinson Cycle M15 Dynamic Force gasoline mill generating 90 hp and an electric motor that delivers 80 hp. The total maximum system output comes down to 114 hp.

The Toyota Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition also carries GT branding inside and out and comes with a special key, and key cover. It also has a serial number badge inside the cabin marking that it is 1 of 100 units produced by the automaker. Further differentiating the GT model are special 18-inch wheels paired with machined red segments.

With this special Yaris GT7 model, Toyota also offers several freebies to quench the thirst of PlayStation fanatics. These include a complimentary physical copy of the new Gran Turismo 7 game, a PlayStation 5 console, a three-month PlayStation Plus subscription, and an extra DualSense wireless controller.

The limited-edition Toyota Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition and new Gran Turismo 7 will be available for order on March 4, 2022, with the first deliveries taking place in May. There is no official information about the price at the moment.
