Now let us check out the new Vios in images and see what all it brings to the table. Starting with the sedan’s exterior -
The Vios benefits from LED headlamps with Follow-, daytime running lights, and fog lamp lighting setup at the front. All these features together help brighten up the drive. Also, noticeable is the enhanced bumper wherein the slit-shaped fog lamp design pops out.
On the side, we see stylish 16-inch alloy wheels that give the sedan a dynamic touch.
The cabin benefits from comfort-centric leather seats that provide physical comfort and also enhances the car’s style quotient.
The rear seat is super comfortable and comes with a foldable armrest. Also, they come with 60:40 split-flood, thus accommodating more luggage.
The dashboard setup looks premium with the darker central housing panel that adds to its already roomy feel. The instrument panel finished in chrome plates gives the setup a finished appearance.
Other features contributing in making the drive easy and comfortable are - electrochromic rear view mirror, 4.2-inch full-colour multi-info display, automatic air-con system, and smart entry & push start system.
Up here is the 2NR-FE engine that powers all the variants of the new Vios. This 4-cylinder, in-line, 16-valve, DOHC with Dual VVT-i unit with a displacement of 1,496 cc generates a maximum power of 107 PS at 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 140 Nm at 4,200 rpm.
The transmission setup remains common across the lineup, i.e., a Continuous Variable Transmission with 7-speed Sport Sequential Shiftmatic mode.
Vios gets performance-enhancing gears like paddle shifters, and drive switch mode. The highlight however is the sound insulation around the engine that ensures an almost noise-free drive.
The Vios can take in so much that you can’t even imagine. Its various storage spaces are enough to fit in all your belongings.
The Toyota Safety Sense Pre-Collision System alerts the driver and even applies the brake automatically to avoid frontal collisions. Also part of the kit is the Toyota Safety Sense Lane Departure Alert system that alerts the driver when the car is out of the lane.
Apart from the Toyota Safety Sense kit, the Vios is equipped with several other safety features like - 3D Panoramic View Monitor, Blind Spot Monitor with RCTA, Hill-Start Assist Control, seven airbags (driver, front, passenger, curtain shield, and driver's knee).
The sedan comes equipped with a front digital video recorder that captures the entire journey for your own protection, as one never knows when a recording comes in handy.
