This is Mercedes-Benz's latest bespoke one-off model

KUALA LUMPUR: When we hear the term bespoke one-off cars, the first thing that comes to mind is Rolls-Royce, right? However, Mercedes-Benz is another automaker that doesn't shy away from introducing amazing-looking bespoke one-off cars. Its latest creation is the Project Mayback with the late designer Virgil Abloh. Coming back to the present day, Mercedes has unveiled another superb bespoke one-off model, called the Will.i.amg. As you must have guessed, this time around, the automaker has collaborated with the American rapper, Will.i.am. The car is said to help fund inner-city school engineering programs, thus preparing them for a technological tomorrow.

Here are the key highlights for the Will.i.amg bespoke one-off model -

• The Will.i.amg is part of a long collab between Mercedes-Benz and Will.i.am, called ‘The Flip'. As mentioned earlier, the collaboration is to help students from disadvantaged families
• West Coast Customs has done the major styling and heavy lifting for this bespoke one-off (the same tuner to paint Justin Bieber's Ferrari 458 electric Blue for which he has been blacklisted by the brand). Don't worry, everything first got approved by Mercedes
• Based on the four-door Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door Coupe, it has been made into a two-door coupe with two massive suicide doors (opening towards the back)

• The front fascial is borrowed from the G-Wagen
• The square radiator grille features a unique emblem called 'Bear Witness'; this bear-shaped logo is inspired by the automaker's three-point star and vehicle sound. The same logo will appear on the apparel and merchandise part of this collaboration.
• Other unique features limited to the Will.i.amg are the front fenders, air vents,mono-block wheels, and two-piece panoramic sunroof

The automaker has not shared any images of the car's rear profile and cabin, giving us near to information about other inclusions, if any.

As for the mechanical bits, no changes have been made because the AMG makes the best powertrains - a fact Will.i.am also agrees.
