Sime Darby Motors opens training academy for retail & distribution workforce

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Motors has launched a new “Sime Darby Motors Training Academy” to help its employees learn new skills and gain knowledge in the fast-changing world of cars. Located at the hi-tech Sime Darby Motors City automotive complex, the academy is set to become a hub of learning and innovation.

    • The second program focuses on soft skills like personal and professional development, skills improvement, customer service, and sales techniques. This training will be imparted by in-house professionals and certified external providers

    “It will also enable us to focus on emerging technologies and trends and be future-ready for the next generation of vehicles, particularly in the EV segment. This will allow us, as an organisation, as well as the brands we represent to stay ahead of the competition and adapt to changing market demands effectively,” he added.  

    As for the future, the company has plans to scale up the academy and turn it into a regional training hub for our Retail & Distribution operations across Southeast Asia.
