RM2 Million New Mercedes-Benz Autohaus Opened in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Kuala Lumpur: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM), along with one of its primary authorised dealers, Hap Seng Star, has opened RM2 million new autohaus in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The new MBM autohaus is the second facility of its kind in East Malaysia located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu's business district. Also, it's the seventh Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in the Malaysia. Inside, the 7,346 square feet floor of the new MBM autohaus features a showroom area (that can display up to six cars), a reception area, three customer lounges, free WiFi and a customer service team of 11 representatives.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the new MBM autohaus, Dr Claus Weidner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, says, “ Hap Seng Star, Kota Kinabalu is a positive step in developing our dealer network, especially in East Malaysia. Our presence in this region dates back to 1969, and our partnership with Hap Seng Star has served to strengthen it.”
In total, Hap Seng Star will invest RM30 million towards a long-term expansion plan in East Malaysia, which began with the opening of Hap Seng Star Miri Autohaus in May, this year.
Besides the opening of new MBM autohaus in Kota Kinabalu, the nearby Mercedes-Benz workshop in Inamam has also been refurbished. The 24,000 square feet workshop features a work bay that can service up to 14 passenger vehicles and two commercial vehicles at the same time.
