Purchase a Neta V and enjoy lifetime warranty; terms and conditions apply

KUALA LUMPUR: As the nation witnesses a surge in the popularity of electric vehicles, EV manufacturers are rolling out enticing offers to woo customers. A recent example is the “Lifetime warranty” offer by the Chinese EV brand Neta. The official distributor of Neta electric vehicles, Intro Synergy, is offering a lifetime warranty to the first 500 customers purchasing the brand-new Neta V.

However, like all great deals, there are certain terms and conditions that customers need to fulfill to grab it. These include - 

For new buyers

• Offer valid for customers purchasing the EV between April 1, 2024, and June 30, 2024
• Registration of the vehicle must be completed before July 31, 2024
• Lifetime warranty covers the EV's battery, electric motor, and motor control unit.

For existing Neta V owners

• Owners must not exceed an annual distance traveled of 30,000 km to qualify for the lifetime warranty
• The vehicle must remain unmodified, and its battery should not be damaged by accidents or floods
• The offer extends only to private owners using the vehicle for non-commercial purposes

Whether new or existing, customers also need to fulfill the company’s servicing terms to maintain the validity of the warranty. The scheduled services must be conducted exclusively at authorized Neta service centers and genuine parts must be used for any replacements or repairs.

To recap, the Neta V is a small electric hatchback, affordably priced at RM 100,000 (on the road without insurance). It is powered by a front-mounted electric motor generating a maximum power of 95 PS and a peak torque of 160 Nm. Feeding the motor is a 38.54 kWh CATL-sourced ternary lithium battery pack, which offers a range of 380 km.
