Neta X

Neta is offering the X electric crossover as a new-age electric vehicle, which is evident in the clean and tech-laden layout of the cabin. The buyers have both the choices of black or brown theme for the leather upholstery option, with the Neta X also having contrast silver accents and piano black inserts at places.

The cabin of the Neta X looks modern with the 8.9-inch full-TFT rectangular instrument console behind the flat-bottom three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and a massive 15.6-inch rectangular touchscreen infotainment system sitting in the middle of the upper centre console. 

The dashboard of the Neta X has sleek trapezoidal AC vents on the corners and in the lower centre console below the infotainment system. This five-seater electric crossover is well-equipped with features like a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, 8-speaker audio system, powered front seats with memory function for the driver’s seat and automatic climate control with rear AC vents. 

Unlike the hatchback-like Neta V crossover, the Neta X feels more like an SUV with a slightly higher ride height, more muscular stance and larger dimensions. The design of the Neta X also looks more premium, while evident as an all-electric crossover. 

The Neta X's front profile has a cleaner layout. Its sleek and stretched L-shaped daytime running LEDs are positioned above the low-positioned trapezoidal all-LED headlamps, which sit within trapezoidal housings on the corners of the front bumper. The Neta X also has a centrally placed hexagonal air dam and moulding over the lower part of the front bumper.

The Neta X has a more authoritative stance with a higher ground clearance and roofline, with the midsize crossover getting 18-inch machined alloy wheels, side body and wheel arch mouldings and blacked-out C-pillars. The rear profile of the Neta X has a full-length connected LED light bar running below the rear windscreen while connecting the spearhead-shaped LED tail lamps on the outer edges of the boot lid.

The Neta X has a conventional suspension configuration under its skin, comprising Macpherson struts at the front and a multi-link layout at the rear. With 18-inch alloy wheels offered as standard across all the variants, the Neta X also comes with auto hold function and three driving modes – Eco, Comfort and Sport – for a more convenient driving feel. 

All the variants of the Neta X have a front-mounted electric motor, that gives this compact crossover a front wheel drive configuration, while claiming a maximum power output of 163 PS and a peak torque output of 210 Nm. With a single-speed transmission, this powertrain allows the Neta X to reach an electronically-restricted top speed of 150 kmph, while clocking a 0-100 kmph sprint in 9.5 seconds. While the 400 Comfort and 400 Luxury variants have a 52.49kWh battery claiming 401 km, the 500 Comfort and 500 Luxury variants have a 64.14kWh battery that returns 501 km range. 

All the variants of the Neta X are decently equipped with safety essentials like six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, cruise control, rear parking sensors and reverse camera. However, the 400 Luxury and 500 Luxury variants also come equipped with ADAS features like lane departure warning, lane change assist, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, intelligent cruise assist, emergency lane keeping system and high beam assist.

Compared to the V, the more premium Neta X feels like a more proper value-for-money proposition with its more advanced features and powertrain, a more new-age design inside-out and a slightly more mature ride setup.
