Price confirmed for 2024 BMW i5 M60 xDrive in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: At the Malaysia Autoshow 2024, BMW Malaysia introduced the “M” version of the all-electric i5, the i5 M60 xDrive, at an estimated price of RM 480,000. Now, it has revealed the EV’s final price tag which reads RM 499,100 (on the road, without insurance). It includes a 5-year extended warranty and service package.

The new BMW i5 variant marks its unique identity with sportier design elements like the M Sport Pro Package, M Rear Spoiler, M High Gloss Shadow Line, and M Lights Shadowline. It also features a distinctive BMW Kidney Grille with an active shutter, 21-inch Style 954M wheels, and carbon fibre wing mirrors.

Powering the BMW i5 M60 xDrive is a dual-motor AWD setup that churns out a maximum power output of 601 hp and a peak torque of  795 Nm. The EV runs from zero to 100 kmph in 3.8 seconds and clocks a top speed of 230 kmph.

The motors are fed by an 81.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which delivers a WLTP-claimed driving range of 516 km on a single charge. The full charging takes 4 hours and 15 minutes when using a 22 kW AC charger; however, a 205 kW DC charger can juice up the 80% battery in 30 mins.

The equipment kit comprises - LED headlights and tail lights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch touchscreen head unit, a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system with 18 speakers, a wireless smartphone charger, four-zone climate control, BMW Panorama Glass Roof, Distance Control with Stop and Go function, Automatic Speed Limit Assist, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Road Priority Warming and Wrong-way Warning, Side Collision Protection, and Crossing-traffic Warning.

The BMW i5 M60 xDrive is now available at all authorised BMW dealerships nationwide.
