Porsche expands electric Macan lineup: New entry-level and high-performance 4S models unveiled, all 4 variants open to order now in Malaysia, from RM430k
KUALA LUMPUR: Porsche has unveiled an expanded lineup for its first all-electric SUV, the Macan, introducing a new rear-wheel-drive entry level model and the higher-powered Macan 4S. The expansion aims to cater to a wider range of customers seeking efficient and powerful electric vehicles.

The Macan Turbo, delivering a staggering 639 PS and 1,130 Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 260 km/h.The new rear-wheel-drive Macan focuses on efficiency and range, offering a WLTP range of up to 641 kilometers. It is powered by a 100 kWh battery and a rear-axle motor producing 250 kW (340 PS), with the ability to generate up to 265 kW (360 PS) in overboost mode. The motor features a 480-amp pulse inverter using silicon carbide (SiC) for higher efficiency. This model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 km/h. Its efficiency is further enhanced by a 110 kg weight reduction compared to the all-wheel-drive Macan 4.
The Macan 4S slots between the Macan 4 and the Macan Turbo, featuring a new rear-axle motor and a 600-amp SiC pulse inverter. This model offers a system output of 330 kW (448 PS), with an overboost power of up to 380 kW (516 PS). It achieves 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h, with a combined WLTP range of up to 606 kilometers. Standard on the Macan 4S are the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and optional features like Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) and rear-axle steering.
Both models retain the distinctive design and aerodynamics of the second-generation Macan, with an 800-volt architecture enabling DC charging of up to 270 kW. This allows the high-voltage battery to charge from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes at a fast-charging station.
A new exterior colour, Slate Grey Neo, and a 20-inch Macan S wheel are now available across the range. Additionally, a new off-road design package enhances the Macan's capabilities on rough terrain, featuring a modified front bumper and increased ground clearance of 195 mm. This package is available in Vesuvius Grey and body color, with matching 21-inch off-road design wheels.
The Porsche Driver Experience has also been updated, incorporating a mix of digital and analogue elements. It includes a 12.6-inch curved display, a 10.9-inch passenger display, and ambient lighting with a communication light. The head-up display with augmented reality is standard on the Macan Turbo. The new Themes app allows customization of display backgrounds and ambient lighting with twelve color options.
For the Malaysian market, additional standard features include Power Steering Plus, an electrically opening charging cover, four-zone climate control, a 230V power outlet in the luggage compartment, and a premium BOSE Surround Sound System.
