Perodua Myvi offers a lot of other features that make it a worthy model which we will discuss in the write-up below:
Sporty styling elements
Even though Myvi sports a mundane styling, it comes with a bunch of sporty elements that make it stand out among competitors. The LED headlamps at the front infuse a sporty flair to the face. It is worth noticing that Myvi is among a few models in the segment to feature LED lighting. Also, the chrome finishing on the outside door handles alloy wheels and a bold beltline pump in some fresh blood into the otherwise conventional hatchback.
Large boot space
When it comes to family cars, storage is essential, and Myvi doesn’t disappoint. The compact five-door hatchback has a decent cabin with enough space for seating passengers at both ends. Speaking of cargo space, it has a capacity of 277-litres, good enough for a car this size. It can easily accommodate four large bags, and the wide aperture allows smooth loading and unloading.
Plush leather seat covers
No matter how much a car appeals from outside, cabin comfort is paramount. The uncompromising comfort on the inside promises a great ride, and the premium leather upholstered seats on the top-spec AV AT magnify the comfort quotient. It looks appealing, and gives Myvi a cusp over rivals in the segment, especially arch rival Proton Iriz, which misses out on this feature.
Driver seat USB port
A USB port on the driver’s seat is usually found in expensive vehicles. This feature enables charging electrical devices while on the move, and adds to the occupants’ convenience. Interestingly, Perodua Myvi is one of the few cars in the segment to get an integrated USB charging port on the driver’s seat.
Advanced Safety Assist (ASA 2.0)
An advanced safety assist 2.0 is a compilation of a bunch of driver assistance features such as Pre-Collision Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation Control. This is found in some of the new models from Perodua including Myvi. The ASA ensures a safe driving experience and offers a solid safety shield to the occupants.
Standard safety kit
Speaking of standard safety kit, it comprises of four airbags (front and side), and the fully-loaded top-range variant additionally gets side and curtain airbags, providing proper cushioning to the occupants. Other advanced bits, such as anti-lock-braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, vehicle stability control, traction control, emergency stop signal, reverse sensors, seatbelt reminder, anti-snatch hook and ISOFIX system with top tether are also part of the pack.
Noise-free cabin
Laying behind the cabin and looking out of your window with no road or engine noise seeping inside is ideal. The Myvi is one of the few vehicles in this price range to have a quiet cabin with least or almost no noise. This is possible due to the presence of acoustic windshield which keeps the outside disturbance at bay. It minimizes the intensity of sound, and curbs wind noise, etc.
In-built toll reader
This is another segment-best features that sets a benchmark. It is hands-down one of the smartest features on Myvi’s equipment list, though it comes only with variants powered by the high displacing 1.5L engine including the 1.5L H AT and 1.5L AV AT grades.
