Nissan NP300 Navara arrived in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur: Nissan Malaysia has finally opened its gates for the all-new Navara NP300 off road truck. The offroader has finally arrived in the Malaysian market in two body styles with single and double cab models presented. The double cab will be offered in four trim levels (S, SE, V, VL) with either a choice of a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.
The Navara NP300 price is tagged as RM79,000, for the manual single cab model and RM89,800 for the base double cab E manual model. The pricing of the Navara NP300 is kept as such because the off-roader is fully-imported (CBU) from Thailand.
Whereas, there are other trims of Navara 2015 which costs a bit high. There is the SE variant of Navara NP300 priced at RM97,800 for the manual and RM102,800 for the automatic variant, followed by the automatic-only V priced at RM109,800. The Nissan NP300 VL with all the bells and whistles tops the range with a retail sticker of RM120,800. All prices are on-the-road without insurance, inclusive of a three-year/100,000 km warranty and a three-year free service package.
NP300 specs are kept almost similar for all the variants except the top VL trim which produces the maximum power output of 190 PS at 3,600 rpm and 450 Nm at 2,000 rpm. However, the other trims manage to produce a power output of 163 PS at 3,600 rpm along with the peak torque of 403 Nm at 2,000 rpm. This is the result of Nissan off-roader - NP300 specced with 2.5 litre YD25DDTi four-cylinder turbodiesel engine.
Furthermore, Single cab and double cab S models of Nissan NP300 Navara 2015 come standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, while V and VL variants are offered solely with a seven-speed automatic with manual override; the SE gets a choice of both. Even more, NP300 specced with all-wheel drive, switchable on-the-fly speeds of up to 100 km/h. Double cab models are fitted with multi-link rear suspension with coil springs while the single cab soldiers on with leaf springs.
The Navara 2015 looks composed and muscled-up. Its exterior features successfully manage to flair the aerodynamics than before (0.37 Cd vs 0.43 Cd) and hides the slightly longer, if lower dimensions. The Nissan Navara features new dimensions are as - 5,255 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,785 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,150 mm. The single cab model gets a longer bed with a built-in side step.

All models of the Navara Malaysia gets skilful touches such as a dash-top tray with its own 12 V power socket, along with a cup holder under the driver’s side air-con vent to keep beverages cool. The only difference you may found between double cab and single cab interiors is the availability of zero gravity-inspired seats and rear air-con vents presence in the former body type.
