Newsletter Hints at Mazda CX-3 Price
KUALA LUMPUR: As reported earlier, the Mazda CX-3 was likely to be priced around RM130,000 and make its way to the Malaysian market by November 2015. Also, earlier in May, a post on the Facebook page by a local Mazda dealer showed the expected price for the upcoming SUV, which was in the range of RM120k to 130k. This now has been confirmed by a local Mazda newsletter which displays “from RM120k” tag.
Mazda CX-3 2.0L petrol variant is expected to land in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of this ongoing year, which would be bestowed with Skyactiv Technology mated to four cylinders. It would churn out 155 hp and 200Nm torque. It will be mated to a SkyActiv Drive 6 speed automatic transmission system. It would be a front wheel drive for sure, but the all wheel drive option remains vague at the moment.
If a diesel variant would land in Malaysia, then it is likely to be powered by a 1.5L turbo diesel power mill which would produce 104hp and 270Nm of torque.
The crossover is likely to come with 18 inch alloys which isn't a sure shot at the moment, but it is certain to come with LED projector headlamps and tail lights, to get a combination of LEDs and bulb.
It was earlier reported that it could arrive in the country by August but the indications last month confirmed it's launch for the fourth quarter of this present year. This launch by Mazda would add to the line up of cars upcoming this year, with one of the most anticipating car, the fourth gen MX-5.
