New BMW 5 Series takes centre stage at SKY5PACE event in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW cars are all about luxury and innovation, and the latest BMW 5 Series really shows that off. Recently, BMW Group Malaysia showcased the entire range of the luxurious sedan at the SKY5PACE event, in Kuala Lumpur.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Kuala Lumpur skyline, the week-long customer event displays the sedan’s diverse powertrain offerings, including electric i5 eDrive40 M Sport and i5 M60 xDrive and ICE-powered 520i and 520i M Sport. The new i7 xDrive60 M Sport, and 750e xDrive M Sport are also present at the event.

Since its debut in 1972, the BMW 5 Series has established itself as a leader in the premium executive sedan segment.” 

The event's spotlight is on the latest BMW 520i M Sport and the electric BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport equipped with the optional M Performance Parts. 

BMW 520i M Sport

Priced at RM 349,800, the locally-assembled BMW 520i M Sport adds more sportiness and style to this popular model. The local assembly of the sedan highlights the brand’s confidence in Malaysia as a key part of its operations. 

The M Sport pack enhances the sedan inside and out by adding features like adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch M light alloy wheels, M high gloss Shadowline trim, M anthracite headliner, and a 3-spoke leather steering wheel with M Sport design. Just like the standard 520i, the M Sport model is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-four engine mated to a 48V mild hybrid system. 

BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport with optional M Performance Parts 

Priced at RM 399,800, the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport features a stunning and comes packed with tech that sets new standards for electric vehicles in Malaysia. It combines elegance with impressive performance, offering electric driving of up to 582 km, faster 22 kW charging, and smart driver features.

The BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport on display at the SKY5PACE event is decked up with optional M Performance Parts, demonstrating the wide range of bespoke options available to Malaysian customers. These include

• M Performance Rear Diffuser
• M Performance Rear Spoiler
• M Performance exterior mirror caps
• 21-inch M Performance light alloy wheel Cross-spoke style 943 M Bicolour
