Neta X unveiled at GIIAS 2024 with estimated pricing of RM133k - RM142k - Pricier than the expected price in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR:  At the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024, PT Neta Auto Indonesia (Neta) has officially revealed the estimated pricing for their newest model, the Neta X. This announcement marks the entry of this affordable electric SUV into the Indonesian market.

PT Neta Indonesia disclosed that the automaker plans to bring five models in their lineup. Following the Neta V-II, the lineup will include Neta S and Neta GT. At GIIAS, Neta also introduced the Neta L as a display unit and opened pre-orders for the Neta X.

Neta has set a pre-book price for the Neta X estimated between Rp460 million (RM133k) and Rp490 million(RM142k) which is slightly more than the estimated price of the Neta X in Malaysia supposedly between RM120k - RM140k. For the first 1,000 customers, Neta offers a special program that includes a Rp2.5 million (RM724) credit for PLN Mobile. Additionally, there is a lifetime warranty with no mileage limit for the battery device, drive motor, and motor control unit. Neta also provides a free wall charger and installation.

The Neta X measures 4,916 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,628 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm, making it a compact SUV ideal for urban use. Powered by a 63.56 kWh battery, the Neta X offers a range of up to 480 km based on NEDC testing.

Its electric motor produces 161 hp and 210 Nm of torque, with a battery system supported by liquid cooling HEPT 4.0 and ultra-fast charging capabilities up to 105 kWh. The battery can be charged from 30 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes, and the vehicle features V2L (vehicle to load) technology.

The Neta X comes equipped with various advanced features, including a 15.6-inch entertainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and an 8-speaker audio system. Safety features are comprehensive, including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Active Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Highbeam Front Light, Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Adaptive Cruise Control System, and Door Opening Warning System.

In Malaysia, Intro Synergy initially intended to launch four variants of the Neta X. However, following our recent test drive last month, it has been confirmed that the lineup has been streamlined to three variants.

Neta is orchestrating a synchronized launch for the Neta X across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, with all three countries set to launch the new model simultaneously on July 25th.

Driving Experience: The Neta X offers a comfortable drive with soft suspension that absorbs rough roads well. The vehicle handles well with a light yet nicely weighted steering. The instant torque from the electric motor provides a sprightly feel, especially in sports mode. The vehicle supports various driving modes, including Eco mode for conserving range.
