MG Malaysia opens bookings for groundbreaking Cyberster EV Roadster - EST RM350k

KUALA LUMPUR:  SAIC Motor Malaysia has announced that bookings are now open for the highly anticipated MG Cyberster, the brand's pioneering all-electric roadster.

With an estimated price tag below RM350,000, the Cyberster is set to bring a unique electric driving experience to Malaysia, pairing stunning design with cutting-edge performance.

The MG Cyberster will make its public debut at the upcoming Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024, which takes place at Setia City Convention Centre from October 26-27.

Performance and Power in a Striking Package

The MG Cyberster is offered in a single high-performance variant that showcases the brand’s innovation in electric sports cars. Its dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) system delivers a formidable 503 PS (375 kW) and an impressive 725 Nm of torque, launching the roadster from 0-100 km/h in a mere 3.2 seconds.

A 77 kWh battery offers a range of up to 446 km (WLTP-rated), positioning the Cyberster as both thrilling and practical for everyday driving. Charging the roadster is convenient with a 7 kW AC charger achieving a full charge from 10% to 100% in roughly 10.5 hours, while rapid 150 kW DC charging can boost from 10% to 80% in just 38 minutes.

Eye-Catching Design with Functional Flair

With a wide, low-profile stance, the Cyberster’s design speaks of elegance and sportiness. Frameless scissor doors bring a futuristic edge to its silhouette, enhancing ease of access and styling appeal.

The Cyberster rolls on bold 20-inch Jetstream alloy wheels paired with red brake calipers, while automatic LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRL) add visibility and a modern touch. The soft-top roof can be retracted, allowing drivers to enjoy an open-air experience at their convenience.

Interior Tech and Comfort with Premium Touches

Inside, the Cyberster boasts a driver-centric layout packed with premium materials and tech features. The sports seats are upholstered in leather with Alcantara inserts, complemented by a Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel for added luxury.

Infotainment is handled by a 7-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, and two additional 7-inch side displays. An 8-speaker Bose audio system promises a high-quality in-car audio experience, immersing drivers and passengers alike.

Safety Features with Advanced Driver Assistance

Safety takes priority with MG’s Cyberster, which includes the full MG Pilot suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Key features include Front Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian and bicycle detection, as well as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Intelligent High Beam Assist.

Together, these features aim to offer peace of mind during every journey.

Colour Options 

The Cyberster will be available in four striking colours: Dynamic Red, Camden Grey, Inca Yellow, and English White. Dynamic Red and Camden Grey models will feature black-and-red interior trims, while Inca Yellow and English White will come with grey interiors. Each variant is topped off with a sleek black hood, enhancing its sporty appeal.
