Mercedes teases MBUX Hyperscreen again, EQS to get it first
KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes has been teasing us with its new MBUX Hyperscreen for quite a while now, and now finally we know when it's arriving - January 7th, 2021, 2 pm CET, i.e., 9 pm MYT. This information was shared by Daimler AG on Facebook.
Furthermore, the concerned post also revealed that EQS will get the MBUX Hyperscreen first. It read ' Tomorrow, @MercedesBenz will reveal the brain of the EQS. For this, we have merged analogue and digital design – and created our most aesthetic and fascinating #technology highlight yet.'
The details about the 'biggest screen ever mounted in a series-built Mercedes-Benz' is kept under wraps by the automaker. However, the video posted by the automaker suggests the MBUX Hyperscreen stretching across the width of the dashboard. It'll feature subtle curves and have an illuminated upper accent. Making it usable, the Hypersceen will be divided into three to four separate displays.
In the teaser video, we get to see the Mercedes Hyperscreen partially - two screens at max with one being the infotainment display featuring a map and necessary media and phone settings. Also present is digital climate control very similar to the one seen on the new S-Class.

Of the Hyperscreen several divisions, one will be for the front passenger. It is expected to be decently sized and focus mainly on entertainment and connectivity needs. It seems like the infotainment system will multi-task, in a way that while it'll show directions to the driver, the passenger can enjoy a video or movie at the same time.
Though most of the details about the Mercedes Hyperscreen is kept guarded by the automaker, we do know that it'll feature AI and will be 'highly capable of learning'.
