Mercedes EQE SUV & AMG EQE SUV debut date confirmed
KUALA LUMPUR: It was only recently that Mercedes-Benz revealed the EQS SUV which obviously is quite an expensive deal. Now, for customers not willing to spend that much money on a car, the German automaker has announced the arrival of a smaller and less expensive model positioned below the EQS SUV.

Called the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, it will make its official debut on Oct 16, 2022, and will share many similarities with the EQE sedan. Adding to the joy is the 2023 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV which will also be introduced on the same date as the EQE SUV, i.e. Oct 16th.

Mercedes has not revealed much information about two upcoming EVs, however, going by the revealed images and nameplate, here are a few guesses -
- The EQE SUV is expected to run on either a single or dual-motor configuration
- Rear- or all-wheel-drive will be a given
- The EQE SUV might share its powertrain configuration with the sedan, the rear-drive EQE 350
- The AMG EQE SUV model will come equipped with two powerful e-motors and a fully variable all-wheel drivetrain
- The AMG SUV is expected to pump out the same output as the AMG EQE, also known as the AMG EQE 53
- The AMG variant is expected to get upgraded handling and performance
- The AMG model will also get unique styling, AMG Sound Experience via speakers, and a rear-axle steering wheel
- Both the EQE SUVs would get a super luxurious and comforting cabin with the AMG model is a tad bit aggressive
