Mercedes-Benz SLC- Spied Again

KUALA LUMPUR: This four-legged machine, earlier spotted in April this year, has again made its appearance on the roads of Germany. Being the part of the new SLC family, introduced by Mercedes-Benz, this car will be a change over the SKL legacy. Known as the Mercedes-Benz SLC, this car apart from receiving a name change, has got a refreshing new look.

All the three important components, that is the, exterior, interior, and the engine have contributed to this new iteration.

The first and the foremost thing that you will notice in this new model, is the round bumper, which greatly adds to its appeal. Apart from the rounded and smoother bumper, one can also easily notice the redesigned grille, and the tweaked headlamps. Further, its beauty is enhanced by the rear bumper, which seems to be reprofiled. The tail lamp graphics, and a new exhaust tip design, in addition to the new alloy wheels can be differentiated from the previous models . Further it is known to be built on the same R172 platform.

Though, no spy pictures of the interior front is available at the moment, but it is being speculated that this new SLC will be plusher than its predecessor. It is being said to have received a new dashboard design, along with a new color scheme giving it a more refreshing feel, also it will house the latest Benz's information system.

Now, underneath this new rounded bumper, Mercedes-Benz plans to give home to a 3.0litre V6 twin-turbo engine from the SLC 450 AMG Sport. This engine when mated with seven-speed 7G-Tronic automatic transmission ,produces 367PS of power and 517 Nm of torque, as in the SLC 450 AMG, and is expected to deliver the same performance for this new addition to Merc's portfolio.

For now, all we can do is wait for the Frankfurt Motor Show , which is to be held in September and this wait will be worth, as this new Mercedes-Benz is rumored to be revealed there.
