Mercedes-Benz MBUX Hyperscreen to debut on January 7
KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz's next-generation infotainment system, the MBUX Hyperscreen will be introduced on 7th January during the 2021 Consumer Electronics Show. Obviously, taking the pandemic into consideration, it will be a digitally conducted show.
Coming to the upcoming MBUX Hyperscreen, the automaker is numb about the technical details, however, Mercedes does tell us that it will incorporate AI (artificial intelligence) for the operation of the vehicle functions, infotainment, and HVAC.
The name Hyperscreen seems appropriate, after taking into consideration the display's curved screen and wide dimensions running across the dashboard. Apart from the driver, the front passenger can access it too.
Mercedes-Benz says MBUX Hyuperscreen's "digital experience is as emotional as it is intuitive and effortless."
The EQS electric saloon will be the first car to benefit from the MBUX Hyperscreen. The said Mercedes EV will debut later in 2021 and will go on sale in Europe not before Q2 next year. Therefore, we might get a good look at the upcoming EV's cabin at the 2021 CES.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS electric saloon will surely be a game-changer in the segment. A range of over 700 km is aimed by the automaker in the WLTP test. It'll also come with HEPA air filtration that'll ensure cabin air quality is at par with that of an operating room. Also, it is the first auto air purification system to have a DIN EN 1822 certification.
Coming back to the MBUX Hyperscreen, it certainly will be a benchmark in the infotainment system tech, size, and aesthetics.
