Mercedes-Benz Malaysia presents EQ models to Ministry of International Trade and Industry
KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has recently presented Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of International Trade and Industry with four units of its Mercedes-Benz EQ models. This strategic move offers the ministry and its agencies an opportunity to experience the luxury and advanced electric technology of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

We will create the preconditions for a CO2-neutral new car fleet by 2039, while the pace of transformation is determined by market conditions and the needs of our customers” Zhang stated.
The four Mercedes-Benz EQ models presented to the ministry are - EQS 500 4Matic, EQS 580 4Matic SUV, Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4Matic+, and the EQE 500 4Matic SUV.
The EQS500 4Matic is an all-electric equivalent of the S-Class sedan, locally assembled at the company’s production facility in Pekan. The EV is powered by a dual-motor AWD setup producing a maximum power of 449 PS and a peak torque of 855 Nm. It provides a driving range of 695 km.
The EQS 580 4Matic SUV is an all-electric SUV that combines the features of the EQS with the versatility of an SUV. It gets energy from a dual-motor setup churning out 544 PS and 858 Nm. Feeding the motors is a 108.4 kWhlithium-ion battery pack, which offers a range of 615 km.
The Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4Matic+ is a high-performance version of the EQS, featuring a 658 PS/950 Nm dual-motor setup paired with a 108.4 kWh battery. The WLTP-claimed driving range is 586 km.
The EQE 500 4Matic SUV boasts a dual-motor system that generates 408 PS and 858 Nm of torque. A 90.6 kWh 10-module battery pack supports the setup, providing a range of up to 552 km per charge.
Alongwith advanced electric drivetrains, all these Mercedes-Benz EQ models are equipped with state-of-the-art infotainment systems with intuitive interfaces, seamless smartphone integration, and several advanced features designed to enhance convenience and safety.
