Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is all set to launch AMG models soon!

Kuala Lumpur: As information received from the official Facebook page of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM), the marque is very close to the launch of AMG models in the country. Disclosing the poster soon before the end of this year, can be considered as a reminder for the AMG driving performance cars live appearance.

These “Dream Cars”, simply called as AMG models has something more to indicate about themselves on this Friday, October 2. Apart from this, we just know about acceleration figure i.e. 4.0 seconds associated with the dream models.

Although, we are short with the information about specific model names that are going to appear in the market. We can just make a shot in the dark, there is a possibility of Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63.

AMG C 63 was supposed to make an official appearance early this year. Also, the acceleration count of 4.0 seconds matches with the performance figures of the C 63 Model. So, both the factors give strong evidences about the particular model launch.

For coupe models, it seems like the wait will be stretched for few more months or to the earliest, they would be unleashed in the month end of this year.

According to MBM president and CEO Roland Folger, the production rate has been increased, “The implementation of a double shift in Pekan means that we are now able to fulfill orders in a shorter time,” he said, citing the S-Class as an example. “From an initial production rate of four cars a day, we are now building 12 units a day.”

Giving you a recap about the specific car, the all-new Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63 is equipped with 4.0-litre Biturbo V8 engine, codenamed the M178, which first in the brand's flagship sports car, the AMG GT.

The powertrain churns out a total power output of 476 PS between 5500 to 6250 rpm along with the peak torque of 650 Nm between 1750 to 4500 rpm for the C 63 variant. The other potent variant of the model has the ability to generate a monstrous 510 PS and 700 Nm of torque.

Both cars are equipped with an AMG Speedshift MCT seven-speed gearbox, which helps the C 63 to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph speed mark in mere 4.1 seconds and 4.0 seconds for C 63 S variant.
