Mercedes-Benz Malaysia increases warranty period due to MCO expansion
KUALA LUMPUR: The government has extended the Movement Control Order (MCO) period until April 28. Following which many automakers, including Mercedes-Benz, announced closer of operations in the country for the time being. Also, reassuring its customers that are unable to send their cars in for routine servicing and warranty repairs, the brand has announced service and warranty- related measures.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has restated its commitment and has announced that it is providing an additional service and warranty grace period beyond MCO. For the vehicles whose service period due date falls between March 18 and April 28, the band is giving customers a grace period of 60 days starting from the last day of MCO to get their car serviced. This way, the customers won’t be counted for a missed service.
As far as the warranties are concerned, the automaker said it would continue to honour all vehicle warranties ending between March 18 to June 30. However, the costumes should make sure that the vehicle warranty repair is performed with 60 days after June 30.
For emergency services, during the MCO period, the customers can contact 1-800-88-1133, where off-site personnel will assist them remotely.
