Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV set to arrive in Malaysia; ROI open
KUALA LUMPUR: Just after introducing two AMG EQ models, Mercedes-Benz is geared up to bring another EQ model to the local shores. The upcoming German electric vehicle is the SUV version of the EQE sedan, known as the EQE SUV. Interested folks can now register their interests for the upcoming EV at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia's official website.

The SUV looks almost identical to its sedan sibling with a black panel grille on the front flanked by LED High-Performance lights integrating DRLs and a light bar. On the rear end, we can find illuminated 3D tail lights featuring a helix design and an integrated spoiler.
The EV features a number of air channels on the front apron and side surfaces along with aero wheels and flush-fitting door handles, all these help it in achieving an impressive drag coefficient of 0.25.
No details are yet available on the Malaysia-spec EQE SUV powertrain setup. Globally, it comes in three versions - 350+ RWD Single electric motor, 350 4MATIC AWD dual-motor, and 500 4MATIC AWD dual-motor.
The base-spec version churns out a maximum power of 292 PS and a peak torque of 565 Nm. The mid-spec and top-spec, on the other hand, deliver 292 PS with 765 Nm, and 408 PS with 858 Nm, respectively. The motors are fed by a 90.6-kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 590 km.
Just like the EQS sedan, the interior of the SUV also comes kitted with the MBUX Hyperscreen comprising a 17.7-inch OLED central display, a 12.3-inch instrument panel, and a 12.3-inch OLED display for the front passenger. Also part of the pack is 64-color ambient lighting, a wireless charger, heated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Powered front sports seats, and several driver assistance features.
The exact timeline for the launch of the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV in Malaysia is yet to be announced.
