Meet the Australia-limited Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior pickup

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only a while back that we received the Nissan Navara PRO-4X and back then it was appreciated for its aggressive looks and bold stance. However, now there is an even rugged version of it in Australia, called the Navara PRO-4X Warrior.

This Australia-limited model is built by Nissan in collaboration with Premcar, Victoria-based automotive engineering firm. Earlier also the two companies came together and the output was based on the pre-facelift Navara.

Nissan Navara PRO-4X design

Nissan and Premcar took the Navara pickup and transformed it into a proper off-road weapon with specially-designed modifications - all custom built ensuring proper functioning of all the advanced driver assistance features.

Nissan has not yet shared any details, but from the official pictures published by Nissan Australia the rugged version of Navara gets a new hoopless bullbar at the front, massive red painted underbody bash plates, and integrated light bar.

For a more street appeal it gets decals round the side, host of black exterior accents, and black sports bar above the truck bed.

Other functional details

The Navara PRO 4X Warrior comes with a new souped-up suspension set-up that raises the overall ride height of the truck. Also, part of the kit are large Cooper Discover all-terrain tyres with large track offset for more surface-clawing ability.

Powertrain

Under the hood configuration remains the same, so the Navara Warrior will source power from a 2.5-litre inline-four turbodiesel unit making 190 hp and 450 Nm of torque.
