2020 Mazda CX-30 competitors
In the Malaysian market, the new Mazda CX-30 competes with Honda CR-V and Toyota C-HR in the premium SUV space. In comparison, the Honda-CR-V carries the least pricing, while the C-HR, which is available in a single variant has the highest pricing. However, Mazda CX-30 wins hands-down in terms of visual appeal, leaving behind both the rivals.
Which is better Mazda CX-30 or Honda CR-V?
Out of the two models, the Honda CR-V is available with a more powerful set of engines, with a standard CVT in 2WD and 4WD drivetrain options. Though, it misses out on a diesel unit, unlike CX-30 which comes with a turbocharged unit paired to a six-speed auto box sending drive to the front wheels. While CX-30 gets an oil burner, the SUV is bereft of a 4WD system. The Honda CR-V also benefits from two sets of LATCH car-seat connectors on the rear seats, a prominent safety feature available with a handful of models. As for pricing, the Honda CR-V is more affordable in comparison and packs a whole bunch of safety, comfort and connectivity features. If visual appeal is on the top of your priority list, Mazda CX-30 is your pick, and if you want a 4WD option, equipped with most of the advanced amenities at a relatively less price, go for the Honda CR-V.
