Malaysia Autoshow 2024: Peugeot Landtrek Special Edition launched

KUALA LUMPUR: Peugeot is one of several local and international automakers set to captivate automotive enthusiasts at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024. Owned by Stellantis, the French marque has unveiled the locally assembled Landtrek Allure and Landtrek Special Edition (SE) at the event.

Before diving into the details, let’s have a look at the pricing of new Landtrek models -

The mentioned prices include a 3-year or 100,000 km (whichever comes first) warranty against manufacturing defects.

2024 Peugeot Landtrek SE: Key highlights

Exterior

The all-new 2024 Peugeot Landtrek SE marks its unique identity with a chrome-framed front grille flanked by a pair of vertical, single Lion-claw LED DLRs and full LED headlights.

Accentuating the side silhouette of the pickup truck are Black LANDTREK decals and aggressive black wheel arches paired with 18-inch alloys and all-terrain tyres. The vehicle also comes kitted with stylish Black Peugeot Tag Bezels, Door Visors, and a Tubular Black Side Step for ease of entry and exit.

At the rear of the special edition Landtrek, we can find new tailgate dampers and a skid plate designed to complete the vehicle’s assertive look.

Another standout feature of the Peugeot Landtrek SE is its large storage bed measuring 1,630 mm long and 1,600 mm wide. It can fit up to 2 Euro-size pallets or carry a massive 1-tonne payload.

Two colour options available for the Peugeot Landtrek SE are - Rockstone Grey and Ceramic White

Engine

Powering the special edition pickup is a 1.9-litre Turbo diesel engine generating a maximum power of 150 hp at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 350 Nm between 1,800-2,800 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed PUNCH automatic transmission,

Suspension 

The Peugeot Landtrek SE boasts impressive off-road capabilities, thanks to an upgraded suspension kit and features like the Eaton rear differential lock and versatile drive modes - 2-Wheel Drive Rear (2H), 4-Wheel Drive (4H) or Four-Wheel Drive LOW (4L). 

The optimised angles and ground clearance of 235 mm ensure smooth navigation over rough terrain. With a slope capacity of 42° and 90% ascent grade capability, it conquers steep inclines effortlessly.

Interior 

The cabin features a sleek dashboard design with several creature comforts, such as - a 10-inch infotainment system, three USB ports, Apple CarPlay compatibility and Android Auto readiness, and powered leather seats.

Safety 

As for safety, it is equipped with a range of features designed to protect both occupants and cargo. These include -

Interested folks can experience the off-road test driving of the new Peugeot Landtrek SE exclusively at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024. The test drives are available from May 22nd to 26th, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with the last call for test drives at 6 pm. The enthusiasts can register at the Peugeot Booth in A1 and participate in the six-course 4x4 off-road test drive.
