Lamborghini’s record-breaking 2022 sales numbers are out
KUALA LUMPUR: The year 2022 was full of milestones and accolades for Lamborghini as the Italian luxury marque continues to see positive trends following the inevitable impact of the pandemic. The automaker sold a total of 9,233 vehicles globally during the year with a 10% hike over the units registered in 2021. This marks a new sales record for the brand.

The Urus remains the best-selling Lamborghini car in 2022 with 5,367 deliveries.The key markets that majorly contributed to Lamborghini’s record-setting sales results are -
- The United States remains at the first spot with 2,721 deliveries, up 10% over the previous year
- Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong & Macau sold 1,018 units, up 9% over 2021
- Germany saw 808 deliveries, up 14% over the last year
- The United Kingdom sold 650 cars, up 15% over the previous year
- Japan delivered 546 cars, up 22% over 2021
The Urus Super SUV remains the best-selling Lamborghini car in 2022 with 5,367 deliveries (up by 7% over 2021). It is followed by the Huracán which found 3,113 new homes last year with an impressive year-on-year growth of 20%. The Aventador, which reached the end of its production in September 2022, chipped in 753 units to the total sales.
Last year, the automaker also introduced two brand new iterations of the Urus Super SUV viz. Urus Performante and Urus S. The former focuses more on sportiness and performance while the latter is the heir to the original Urus unveiled in September 2022. Also added to the lineup is an all-terrain super sports car, the Huracan Sterrato.

The awards received by the House of Sant’Agata in 2022 include the “Green Star Award” recognising the company’s commitment to sustainability and “Italy Top Employer” attesting that it follows the best corporate welfare practices.
