KLIMS 2024: MG Cyberster roadster EV launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: SAIC Motor Malaysia, the official distributor of MG cars in Malaysia, has just launched the much-anticipated Cyberster EV at the 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show. This iconic two-seat electric sports car is offered in a sole AWD trim, priced at RM 319,900 (on the road without insurance).

MG Cyberster drivetrain and range

Powering the MG Cyberster is a dual-motor setup that dishes out a maximum power of 503 PS and a peak torque of 725 Nm. It is fed by a 77-kWh battery pack, offering a driving range of 446 km. The new MG roadster runs from zero to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds, making it a high-performance electric car.

The Cyberster is based on MG’s Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) and measures 4,533 mm in length, 1,912 mm in width, and 1,328 mm in height. The wheelbase is measured at 2,689 mm. 

MG Cyberster design

Developed by MG Advanced Design Centre, the EV looks absolutely stunning with a bold, low-profile silhouette and retractable scissor doors. Adding to the looks are a long bonnet, a relatively short tail, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The luxurious sports interior comes with several advanced technology bits.

Along with the Cyberster, SAIC Motor Malaysia also previews a range of upcoming vehicles at KLIMS 2024. These include - MG3 HEV, MG7, and MG ZS HEV.
