Jaguar XE Makes Official Debut on Malaysian Shores, starting at RM340,000!

Kuala Lumpur: The much anticipated moment in the Malaysian luxury cars segment has arrived with the official launch of the Jaguar XE. The British car is all primed to woo the Malaysian fans with its elegant designs and powerful appeal. Earlier in December the Jaguar XE made its official debut in Thailand and now the car made a grand entrance to the Malaysian market today and will sit below the XF and XJ models of Jaguar marque.

Jaguar XE is being touted as the stiffest still lightest entry level Jaguar sedan ever, which is also packed with a plethora of next generation features. The car will be made available in Malaysia in three trims namely, the Jaguar XE Prestige 2.0, Jaguar XE R-Sport 2.0 and Jaguar XE S 3.0, respectively priced at RM340,000, RM365,000 and RM580,000.

Jaguar has very well balanced the power output in its entry level sedan. The flagship variant Jaguar XE S features a powerful 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine that whisks out a maximum power of 340PS, which can also be found it the sports marque Jaguar F-TYPE. Whereas, the base variant Jaguar XE Prestige is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers a great power output of 200 PS. The mediocre among the three is the mid variant Jaguar XE R-Sport features the same engine as Prestige, however it is tuned to deliver a much powerful output of 240 PS. Apart from this all the variants are equipped with the Jaguar's 8-speed automatic transmission system.

Also, to celebrate the debut of Jaguar XE in Malaysia, Jaguar Malaysia is offering an exclusive accessories pack of RM10,000. This unique accessory pack features gear shift paddles in Aluminium Red color illuminated sill tread plates at the front and specially-designed gear selector with premium dark leather top and a rubber bezel with soft-touch grip. Besides that unique tyre valve caps will also be offered available in four iconic designs.

All the prices mentioned above includes GST but exclude the registration fee, insurance and road tax. Jaguar is trying its best to offer a premium ownership experience to it's buyers. The British carmaker is offering a 5-year or 150,000km warranty and a 3-year roadside assist with every XE model. Although, owners of the Jaguar XE 2.0-litre Prestige and R-Sport could also enjoy a 5-year or 80,000km free scheduled maintenance whereas the 3.0-litre S variant comes with a 5-year or 65,000km package, whichever comes first.
