The 30 dealers will manage 35 dealerships, handling the distribution and after-sales service of JAECOO's premium SUVs across central, northern, southern, and eastern Malaysia. The signing ceremony featured JAECOO Malaysia President Leo Chen and Vice President Emily Lek.
It seems JAECOO Malaysia wants to redefine the premium off-road SUV ownership experience with its independent sales and service network. The dealerships will be designed with unique features, including a Super Walkway to welcome customers, a coffee bar, engaging product displays, and a dedicated delivery lounge, ensuring a comprehensive premium experience.
Supported by a dedicated auto parts warehouse and a production plant in Malaysia, JAECOO's dealership network is built on a foundation of strategically positioned dealers and extensive facilities, complemented by a skilled team of service advisors and technicians. Their investments in this ecosystem demonstrate JAECOO’s readiness to launch in Malaysia explained Vice President Emily Lek.
JAECOO plans to establish a distinctive presence in Malaysia’s automotive market by reshaping the value of the off-road new energy market. The brand aims to offer a more intelligent, efficient, and safe off-roading experience globally. At the Malaysia Autoshow 2024, JAECOO showcased its future innovative lineup with the JAECOO J7 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and the JAECOO J6 Electric Vehicle (EV).
Amid the rapid transformation of the new energy landscape, JAECOO's vision aligns with its brand ecology, "New Energy, New Eco, New Era." This vision sets the stage for JAECOO's future contributions of new products, technologies, and an ecosystem to benefit the Malaysian market.
However, the main push now is the JAECOO J7 a premium SUV with off-road chops. Beneath the sleek exterior, the J7 is equipped with a robust 1.6TGDI engine that delivers a powerful 194 HP and 290Nm of torque. The engine ispaired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for swift and smooth gear shifts. Its sophisticated all-wheel drive (AWD) system features rapid torque intervention, dynamically adapting to varying surface conditions in real-time.
The JAECOO J7 will be available in two variants: the AWD version, priced at approximately RM160,000, and the 2WD version, around RM150,000. Both variants will be locally assembled, which JAECOO cites as the reason for the delayed official launch. However, ROI is now open, and the response has been encouraging, with many eager buyers already signing up. The J7 is anticipated to launch this quarter.
