Here’s how the upcoming Peugeot 3008 cabin would look like

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new Peugeot 3008 launch is scheduled for September 2023 and prior to its arrival the automaker is sharing the car’s details in bits. For now, we are teased with the vehicle’s cabin design which showcases Peugeot i-Cockpit interior layout.

Here are a few details about the new Peugeot 3008 cabin design and features -

• The car’s cockpit features a panoramic design making it the first Peugeot model to benefit from it
• The dashboard features a 21-inch high-definition curved panoramic screen, located above the dashboard
• The above-mentioned panoramic floating screen is slightly curved towards the driver for optimum ergonomics, however, it is still very well accessible to the passengers

• The new digital screen combines two key features, it acts as both an instrument cluster and an infotainment system. The former delivers key information like speed, energy flow, driving aids, power meter, etc.
• The curved screen allows the owner to control several in-car features like navigation, air-con, media, and connectivity
• Right below the panoramic screen is another screen called Peugeot i-Toggles touch-sensitive panel. It replaces the traditional air-con control panel and features up to 10 shortcut keys

• The center console looks uncluttered offering ample space for wireless smartphone charging and storage
• The gear selector is relocated and is now made more accessible to the driver
• The images also reveal a compact steering wheel and a smaller central cushion, the former gets touch-sensitive buttons instead of traditional steering controls

• The new steering controls detect the driver’s fingers, thus preventing unintentional press
• Further improving the car’s look and feel is LED ambient lighting with light customizable colors
