The Haval H6 Hybrid features a striking design, a minimalist interior with advanced technology, and a hybrid powertrain offering an impressive fuel efficiency of 5.2 litres per 100 km.The Tank 300 is a hardcore off-road SUV that hails from GWM’s sub-brand Tank. It features a robust build, sophisticated looks, and the latest tech systems, making it a perfect go-to SUV for those who love luxury and adventure. It is set to launch in Malaysia in Q2 2024.
In terms of design, the Tank 300 features a boxy styling with a larger front grille, round LED headlights, and flared wheel arches. The rear has a rugged and adventurous vibe with vertical tail lights and a spare wheel. Inside, we can find European aesthetics with a cockpit-inspired Aviation gear lever, dual interactive screens, vegan leather upholstery, ambient lighting, an advanced sound system, and intelligent driving technologies.
While the powertrain details of the upcoming Tank 300 are not yet revealed by GWM Malaysia, the SUV’s global lineup comprises a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine tuned to deliver 220 PS and 380 Nm and a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit mated to a 48V mild-hybrid system, good for making 245 PS and 380 Nm.
Another SUV that will be displayed at the GWM Malaysia booth during the event is the Haval H6 Hybrid. As the name suggests, it is a hybrid SUV based on the company’s global platform called “LEMON.” It features lightweight technology and promises high performance and high safety.
The Haval H6 looks like a handsome beast with a huge chrome grille, Smart LED headlights, and connecting LED tail lights. Complementing the striking exterior design is a minimalist interior which comes equipped with a dual-tone finished dashboard, a tall central console, and loads of hi-tech goodies.
Underneath the Haval H6 HEV sits a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The engine kicks out a maximum power of 177 PS and 300 Nm of torque while the e-motor generates 177 PS and 300 Nm. The combined system output is rated at 243 PS and 530 Nm. The SUV promises to offer an impressive fuel economy of 5.2 litres per 100 km (19 kmpl).
Expected to launch in the third quarter of the year, the Haval H6 will first arrive as a CBU model, with plans for local assembly at EP Manufacturing’s (EPMB) facility in Melaka to follow.
