Ferrari FF Facelift to Make a Debut in February
Kuala Lumpur: The all-new Ferrari FF Facelift is set to make a world debut at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este which is scheduled to take place in February. All the current Ferrari owners would be getting an invitation to this special event at Lake Como, Italy which reads “Come discover a whole new world”.
Towards the exterior, it is expected to get a hatchback body along with sharper lines to bring it in line with the new 488 GTB which was launched in Malaysia recently and California T as well. Moreover, it would also get a new front fascia with reworked grille and new headlamps. The inclusion of carbon fibre roof would make it all the more aerodynamic. Interiors could be expected to remain unchanged, apart from some tweaks in upholstery and the infotainment system.
Under the hood, the current Ferrari FF is powered by a 6.3-litre V12 engine that churns out a maximum power of 651 hp. So considering that, you can expect the new Ferrari FF engine to deliver a power figure of 690 hp approximately. It is also being speculated that the current seven-speed dual clutch transmission will be ditched for a new eight-speed transmission that sends power to all the four wheels. From a position of halt, it can reach an acceleration of 100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds along with a top speed of 335 kmph.
As far as safety is concerned, this car would be blessed with an array of safety features. However, earlier in September 2015, 11 Ferrari vehicles were recalled in Malaysia due to Takata Airbag issue. Out of these vehicles one was Ferrari FF's current version. Following this scandal, we hope that the facelifted version would be equipped with better safety features including good quality airbags.
