KUALA LUMPUR: Automakers around the world are moving away from fossil-fuel-burning internal combustion engines and embracing electric vehicles. A recent instance of this can be seen in the form of a unique concept store put up by Cycle & Carriage Malaysia.

The “neu by Cycle & Carriage” concept store offers an opportunity to experience the means to live sustainably, understand renewable energy, view Mercedes-Benz’s latest EQ vehicles and “high-street fashion” and “outdoor adventure” themed exhibitions and workshops.The company has brought an experience-themed “Electrifying The Future” at its lifestyle concept store, neu by Cycle & Carriage, which is located at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. It will run from now until October 31st, 2022 for Malaysians to take on the brand’s exceptional journey and service commitments via several lifestyle touchpoints, including physical and digital.
Other key highlights of the Neu concept store by Cycle & Carriage are -
- It will offer an opportunity to truly experience what it means to live sustainably for the benefit of future generations.
- The brand’s strategic partners will showcase and educate the public about renewable energy. Included in the partners' list are Dawn Breeze (specialised in solar renewable energy), Energreen-Tech (specialised in energy management services, EV charging solutions, and second-life EV batteries), and GreenTech Lab Services.
- Visitors can also get up-close and personal with Mercedes-Benz’s latest EQ vehicles on display, comprising the EQA 250 AMG Line, EQS 450+, EQB 350 4MATIC, and EQC 400 4MATIC.
- In the coming months, exhibitions and workshops on the theme of “high-street fashion” in September and “outdoor adventure” in October will also be held.
On a relative note, Cycle & Carriage organised a Mercedes-Benz Discovery programme for its valued customers on 6 August. A total of 60 individuals attended the workshop to know their cars better and familiarise themselves with the company’s after-sales service offerings.
Currently, the brand is installing solar PV systems in six of its locations, including Petaling Jaya, Mutiara Damansara, Ipoh, Batu Caves, Johor Bahru, and Bukit Tengah. With a total capacity of 631kWp, it will replace an average of 20% of its buildings’ consumption.
