Chery Tiggo 8 Pro launched in Malaysia; check full details

KUALA LUMPUR: The Chinese automaker Chery has finally made its highly-awaited comeback to Malaysia. The brand’s refreshed local lineup includes two amazing models - Tiggo 8 Pro and Omoda 5; both are locally assembled at Inokom's facility in Kulim, Kedah. Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Price

The seven-seater Chery Tiggo 8 Pro SUV is offered in a single Luxury variant in Malaysia, priced at RM 159,800. Included in the price is a 7-year manufacturing warranty and a 5-year free servicing package. As an introductory offer, Chery Malaysia is also offering a 10-year engine/1,000,000 km engine warranty to the first 3,000 customers.

The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro measures 4,722 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,705 mm in height. The wheelbase is measured at 2,710 mm.

Powering this Chinese SUV is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that kicks out a maximum power of 256 hp and a peak torque of 390 Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed DCT gearbox. Three drive modes at the disposal are - Eco, Normal, and Sport.

On the exterior, the SUV comes kitted with a “galaxy”-inspired front grille flanked by automatic LED headlights. The grille also houses an illuminated Chery logo synced with the headlights and tail lights.
