Chery Malaysia opens the largest 4S showroom in East Coast
KUALA LUMPUR: Chery has expanded its presence in Malaysia with the inauguration of the new flagship 4S centre in Kuantan. Operated by Evenergy Auto, it is the brand’s first and largest showroom in the East Coast, which offers sales, service, spare parts, and body and paint facilities to customers.

Located at Kawasan Perindustrian Semambu in Kuantan, the new Chery 4S centre is the largest flagship dealership in the East Coast, which caters to the vibrant populations of Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan, serving almost 5 million Malaysians.
During the event, the automaker also previewed the upcoming Omoda E5 EV that is earmarked to launch in Malaysia next year. The upcoming EV runs on a front-mounted electric motor, tuned to generate a maximum power of 204 PS. The motor is fed by a 61 kWh blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery providing a driving range of 430 km (on the WLTP test cycle).
In the opening speech, YAB Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy highlighted the importance of embracing sustainable transportation and personally experienced the upcoming OMODA E5. He also pointed out that the state will be accelerating the installation of EV chargers in the capital city. “The target set by the Kuantan Municipal Council to install 160 charging stations by the year 2025 will further accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles among the people of Pahang,” he stated.
Mr. Lee Wen Hsiang, Vice President of Chery Malaysia, revealed: “Following the recent visit Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. Chairman, Mr. Yin Tong Yue, to Minister Tengku Zafrul of MITI, over Chery’s commitment to invest over RM1 billion Ringgit in Malaysia, and this investment aligns with the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (#NIMP2030), specifically focusing on promoting locally manufactured electric vehicles (EVs)”
