Brochure of 2019 Perodua Axia facelift leaked

KUALA LUMPUR: It looks like Perodua will bring 2019 Axia soon as the brochure of the car has been leaked online. It indicates that the new Axia will be the smallest, cheapest model of Malaysia’s largest car manufacturer. It is likely to come with a lot of new features along with some visual update.

From the leaked brochure, it is confirmed that VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) along with ASA (Advanced Safety Assist) 2.0 having pedestrian detection will be there in 2019 Axia. The new mid-range version, GXtra, and higher variants will get the VSC, while only the range-topping Advance gets ASA 2.0. The ABS is not provided in the base E variant but is present in the G variant.

The E version remains the most affordable car in Malaysia. However, the vehicle has some standard features missing, even the head unit or speakers are on the missing list too. Also, this version is the only car in the range to have the five-speed manual transmission, while the G now comes with a four-speed automatic gearbox.

The ‘G’ version comes with 14-inch alloy wheels and two speakers, while the anti-snatch hook is removed. GXtra also has the same features, while powered side mirrors, height-adjustable driver’s seat, four speakers, front and rear parking sensors are also provided too. It is followed by the SE model that has chrome grille, keyless entry, front and side skirts, and tinted windows, etc.

There will also be an introduction of a new Style variant that takes its place in between the GXtra and SE models. The front and rear bumpers will only be provided to this model along with the larger 15-inch alloy wheels.
