BMW Z4 is now in Malaysia; price starts at RM 480k

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new BMW Z4 has finally arrived in Malaysia. The car was first seen during the launch event of the BMW 3 Series, and it was followed by its recent display at BMW M Track Day at Sepang in June.

As mentioned earlier, the BMW Z4 is offered in sole engine option, called the sDrive30i M Sport. The new drop-top holds a price tag of RM 479,800, on-the-road without insurance. However, included in the price is the BMW Tyre Warranty Programme, five years Unlimited Mileage Warranty, and Free Scheduled Service Programme.

Under the hood, rests a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo mill that churns out a maximum power of 258 PS along with a peak torque of 400 Nm at 1,550 to 4,400 rpm. The engine is paired to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox. On the performance front, the car covers the 0 to 100 kmph mark in 5.4 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph.

BMW Z4 sDrive30i standard kit includes Variable Sport Steering and M Sport Suspension along with Intelligent Parking Assistant with a Reversing Assistant feature and wireless phone charging. Owners can also opt for Connected Package Professional wherein more features can be added from the ConnectedDrive store.

The BMWs latest drop-top comes with a digital key that allows the driver to lock/unlock the car. He can operate the car with his/her smartphone (select Android device) via Near Field Communication technology. This digital key can be shared between five individuals through the BMW Connected App.

The BMW Z4 is available in five exterior color options - Alpine White, San Francisco Red, Glacier Silver, Black Sapphire, and Misano Blue. The list of cabin color options includes - Cognac with black stitching, Magma Red with black stitching, and black décor with black stitching.
