BMW CEO falls at 7 Series Presentation - Frankfurt Motor Show
Kuala Lumpur: Frankfurt Motor Show, one of the most elite motor events across the globe has taken its curtains off! Trust us on this, on the first day amidst all the glitz and glamour of big-time launches like Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Spyder, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Mission E Concept and many other concepts, the showstopper moment sadly was when Harald Krüger, the new CEO of BMW collapsed on stage during BMW 7 Series launch when he was due for his presentation.
Harald Krüger, 49, was underway his speech and was commenting on latest models that BMW is bringing on stage during his conference when suddenly he collapsed on the ground. It was a relief to see him walk again when he was helped to go backstage by two staff members.
It was Krüger's first time appearing at this event as BMW's top man. He was appointed the CEO in May 2015. We had received news that Krüger was immediately sent to a doctor and is recovering without complications. BMW said that this mishap was a result of Krüger's busy schedule and his road-trip abroad.
Over the press-conference, BMW said over its public address system. “I’m a bit lost for words. BMW will try to redo the press conference at a later stage.”
