What powers the Lamborghini Urus S?
The Lamborghini Urus S is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 mill cranking out 666 PS of maximum power and 850 Nm of peak torque. How much does the Lamborghini Urus S cost?
The 2023 Lamborghini Urus S price in the European market starts at €195,538 (approximately equal to RM 889,732) without tax.Talking about the cosmetic revisions first. With a keen eye, we can spot the visual differences between the Urus and Urus S, including a larger front grille, an additional pair of vents on the bonnet, a redesigned bumper, and new air dams with horizontal slats.
Not only the front, but the rear fascia also gets some mild tweaks in the form of a new bumper with black painted skid plate and quad exhausts. Also, the cooling vents of the rear fenders are different on the Urus S.
Besides these cosmetic changes, Lamborghini offers an updated set of exterior customisation options with the new Urus S. These comprise a larger palette of body paints including Ad Personam paint shades and bigger 22-inch Nath, and 23-inch Taigete alloy wheels.
As for the interior, one can choose from two interior colour schemes - Bi-colour Sportivo and Bi-colour Sophisticated. These are paired with different contrasting trims and new stitching options, offering the SUV a completely fresh and luxurious look.
Under the metal skin of the new Lamborghini Urus S lies the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 mill as its predecessor, however, here the engine is tuned to deliver a higher level of output. It now cranks out 666 PS (16 PS more) of maximum power and 850 Nm of peak torque, which is exactly the same as the Urus Performante. Sending power to the four wheels is an eight-speed automatic transmission.
While it might seem a very small power bump, it allows the SUV to run from zero to 100 kmph in 3.5 seconds i.e. 0.1 second faster than the predecessor. However, Urus Performante can complete the century sprint in 3.3 seconds.
The SUV also benefits from adaptive air suspension, a retuned exhaust system, and seven drive modes - Strada, Sport, Corsa, Ego, Terra, Neve, and Sabbia for different suspension settings and performance levels. Three ADAS packages on offer are Urban Road, Full ADAS or Highway.
“The Urus has proven its appeal for those seeking the decisive combination of the sportiest SUV and a Lamborghini to drive every day: the Urus S sits perfectly alongside the new Urus Performante, for those choosing the purest sublimation of performance, luxury and versatility,” said Stephan Winkelmann, chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
“The Urus’ commercial success, with more than 20,000 vehicles produced, is testament to its credentials as the first and enduring Super SUV: the Urus S elevates that reputation.”
The 2023 Lamborghini Urus S price in the European market starts at €195,538 (approximately equal to RM 889,732) without tax.
