All-new BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine CKD launched in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: BMW has launched the all-new locally-assembled version of the third-gen X1 in Malaysia, called the sDrive20i xLine. The CKD model is priced at RM 238,900 (on the road without insurance) with a standard two-year warranty and RM 259,800 with a five-year extended warranty and service package.

Exterior
In terms of visual changes, the new BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine gets a large kidney grille with high-gloss Black slats and a Pearl Chrome frame. The car also benefits from new slender wraparound adaptive LED headlights, new daytime running lights, xLine bumpers, and new 19-inch light alloy wheels in V-Spoke Style 867 Bicolour. The latter comes with a stylised Matte Aluminium underride protection panel.
Dimensions
Dimensionally, the new BMW X1 measures 4,500 mm in length, 1,845 mm in width, and 1,616 mm in height, and spans a wheelbase of 2,692 mm. Compared to the predecessor, it is 53 mm longer, 24 mm wider, 44 mm taller, and carries a 22 mm longer wheelbase. The boot offers storage of 476 litres, which is expandable to 1,527 litres with the rear seats down.

BMW Malaysia offers the new X1 sDrive20i xLine in five colours - Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Cape York Green, Phytonic Blue, and Space Silver, paired with Black Perforated Sensatec upholstery and M Headliner Anthracite.

Under the hood of the all-new locally-assembled BMW X1, we can find a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder Twin Power Turbo delivering a maximum power of 204 PS and a peak torque of 300 Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via the 7-speed Steptronic Dual Clutch Sport, enabling the SUV to hit the century sprint in 7.6 seconds. The top speed is rated at 236 kmph.
Safety
The SUV comes equipped with both Driving and Parking Assistant packages which include advanced systems such as lane departure, lane change warning, rear collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, speed limit info, a rear-view camera, Reversing Assistant, Active Park Distance Control and Lateral Parking Aid.
