KUALA LUMPUR: After updating the models’ price lists in the new year, BMW Malaysia now seems ready to roll out the first model of 2023. It has recently opened the ROI (registration of interest) for the new BMW M2 on its official website, hinting at its soon arrival on the local shores.

    Globally unveiled in October 2022, the upcoming BMW M2 is a two-door coupe powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine. The said mill kicks out a maximum power of 460 hp at 6,250 rpm and a peak torque of 550 Nm from 2,650 to 5,870 rpm. Sending power to the rear wheels is either a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic, enabling the coupe to hit the century sprint in just 4.3 seconds and 4.1 seconds, respectively.

    Adding to the power-packed M2 amazing performance are BMW’s M Traction Control, Active M Differential, and an Adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers, a double-joint spring strut on the front and a five-link on the rear axle with M-specific kinematics. Also part of the kit are M Servotronic steering with variable ratio, Dynamic Stability Control with M Dynamic Mode and M Compound brakes.
