Toyota GR Supra

While the previous generation Toyota Supra had a very driver-centric cockpit, this all-new model has a very sophisticated and conventional layout, which is made of high-quality components and has a very enriching appeal to it.

While the three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel looks quite simple in its design, the full TFT instrument console behind it simply blows your mind with its coloured fonts and stylish layout of details.

The rest of the dashboard has a minimalist and classy appeal, with a free-standing 8.8-inch trapezoidal-shaped touchscreen infotainment system, below which are placed rectangular AC vents, an array of buttons for the music system and a cluster of buttons for dual-zone automatic climate control. The whole design is very much similar to cars from BMW like 5-Series.

For a premium offering, the Toyota Supra is well kitted with features like leather upholstery, powered front seats with memory function for driver seat, push-button start with keyless entry, touchscreen infotainment system, 12-speaker audio system from JBL, dual-zone climate control, heads up display and wireless smartphone charger.

The Toyota Supra, in this fifth-generation model, looks like a perfect blend of an evolution of the fourth-generation model and a completely new design which surely makes it look absolutely stunning. The curvy profile not gives it an advantage in terms of aerodynamics, but also makes it look visually very striking.

At the front, the Toyota Supra has a minimalist bit gorgeous appeal, with the car having curvy full LED headlamps, which do come with LED daytime running lights as well as LED turn indicators. The huge air dams present below the headlamps and centre of the bonnet make it look aggressive.

The side profile of the Toyota Supra has a curvy and low slung stance with a two-door look, in a proper sports car fashion. The bulges above the fenders at both front and rear, the large and sleek looking five-spoke alloy wheels and the hollow cuts on front doors and fenders are some bits which give it a sports car flavor.

The Supra has got a low designed boot area at the back, which do come with sharp and horizontally laid full LED tail lamps.

The Toyota Supra has always been a benchmark in pure driving appeal, and the new generation model doesn’t disappoint on the front too. The new Supra comes with double-jointed Macpherson struts at the front and multi-link at the rear, both of which get stabilisers, adaptive variable system, and ventilated disc brake setups, with the car getting electronically controlled limited-slip differential at the rear.

The previous-generation Toyota Supra was one of the pioneers of twin-turbocharging technology for its powertrain, and the new model follows the suit as well. Powering the new Toyota Supra is a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine, which is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and pumps out a maximum power output of 340 PS and a peak torque output of 500 Nm.

The Toyota Supra is loaded with premium safety kit, the list of which includes forward collision warning with brake function, lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, adaptive high beam, rear-end collision warning, ABS with EBD and brake assist, vehicle stability control, traction control, hill assist control, emergency stop signal, blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, reverse camera, electric parking brake, tire pressure monitoring system, and seven airbags.
